Huge thanks to Matt at torque GT! I was searching for a certain disc and pad combo for the rear of my JDM subaru a-line and couldn’t find anything with the correct stud pattern. Subaru UK recognises the car and offers a part number but it comes back as 5x100 in the UK. One email to Matt and it’s sorted. Identified the car and correct part straight away. Can't fault my experience doing a personal import through Torque GT. Having seen a car I was interested in on GooNet, I spoke with Darren at T-GT about using them as my importer to deal with the negotiation and buying, importing and clearing once in the UK. They had someone local to the garage where the 2015 Subaru Forester tS STi (one of only 300 JDM cars), I was after was for sale, an inspection was done, finding on minor cosmetic issues I'd expect with a 10yr old car. It was low milage, totally rust free underneath, one owner from new and a huge service history file with all original paperwork/booklets. Deal done, then the long wait from the end of September for it to be shipped, it arrived New Years day 2025, then it was a case of Darren arranging final customs payments needed.. then clearance.. then they collected it, and held the car ready for being registered in the UK at 10yrs old (1st Feb). MoT passed and registration sorted (I had a private plate to go on). V5 arrived at my house quite quickly and I could then come down to Newton Abbot via train to collect on 14th Feb. What a fantastic car I now have. So pleased. Beautiful to drive. It's like a new car. Would I do it all again.. yes.. but not just yet... I have all I need with this Forester tS. 280ps on 2.0lr engine. Twin scroll turbo with equal length headers... All in peal white. Darren and the team did well. And worth every penny using their service as I was kept up to date and they were always at the end of a phone or email when I had many questions all about how the importing process worked. What can I say about this company besides amazing from start to finish. Matt and his team helped me and always in contact with me when placed a big order with them. I ordered a mugen kit for my fk8 and wheels ( must say totally transformed the car) , gave me a good deal and shipping was fast once arrived in uk. Highly recommended them and will use them again.

I contacted Torque GT in late August 2024 about a V37 Nissan Skyline 400R and I picked up the car in January. The car has been perfect in the months I’ve owned it. It’s in amazing condition and the few little blemished on the paint from its use in Japan were pointed out to me and then fixed to a very high standard. I opted for the detailing package as well, which I would recommend, it not only looked great but the ceramic coating has made it a breeze to keep shiny and clean. Overall, it was a great buying experience and I was blown away by the quality of the car and the service throughout. If you want to get a car from Japan, I can highly recommend Torque GT.
