It was realised in the early 1990's that there were some fast and expensive sports cars being built with fairly crude engine mountings. Vibra-Technics Automotive was originally established to fill that gap. Subsequently racing and fast road saloon car mounts were developed for a variety of makes and this has grown the business offering over 75 specific products for high performance cars.

Made of a natural rubber, Vibra-Technic mounts offer excellent control whilst isolating the cabin from excessive engine noise and vibration. Sold individually. These directly replace the OEM Nissan mount 1121065F11 (right), 1122085F00 (left), 1122065F01 (left), 1122065F06 (left), or NISMO part numbers 11210-RS540 & 11220-RS540.

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.

Spoon brake calipers for my EK9

Always wanted to do this modification and now I got the chance as I got some discount. Fitted the new spoon calipers with my friend. Not a direct fit as it says. You have to cut the back plate. Plus if you have standard brake lines. You have to bolt the caliper first then the brake line. If you have standard brake pads. The back one has to have the lugs shaved down. If you have the tools it's easy enough. Took around 3-4hours to fit and bleed. What a transformation though to the feel of the braking. I would recommend these to anyone thinking about it. But take note you will need something to cut and shave metal.
