The Toda heavy duty timing chain tensioner was developed for the hardships of endurance race engines, where prolonged periods at high RPM or high load can result in the stock tensioners moving, potentially leading to damage to the engine.

Installation of a strengthened tensioner removes this possibility, keeping accurate cam timing. Designed for K20A and K20Z engines, found in the DC5 Integra, EP3, FN2 and FD2 Civic Type R.
