Spoon Sports Progressive Lowering Springs, for Honda Civic FL4 e:HEV
The Spoon Sports Progressive Spring, part number 51400-FL4-001, is a barrel-shaped lowering spring set for the Civic e:HEV FL4, developed in response to customer requests.
A barrel-shaped spring varies its coil diameter, so unlike a conventional straight-wound spring it carries more than one rate. That lets the Civic run a low rate around 1G, where ride comfort is decided, and a higher rate in high-speed corners. Spoon set the rates at 3.4kgf/mm front and rear after testing on winding roads and mini circuits.
