The Spoon Sports Full Monocoque Caliper Set, part number 45020-JG3-000, is a capless, four-piston aluminium caliper set for the N-ONE, N-BOX and N-ONE e:.
Spoon's view is that a brake caliper isn't there to stop the car, it's there to turn it. Braking is the first move in any corner: it slows the car to the right speed, transfers weight and sets up the attitude for the turn. A standard single-pot sliding caliper with a strong pad can slow the car, but fine control is difficult, especially in a corner. A multi-piston caliper responds far more accurately to pedal input, squeezing the pad from both sides for precise control under cornering load. After testing vehicle weight and allowable tyre size, Spoon judged four pistons the best fit.
The capless full-monocoque body is machined on the same angle-head equipment used for MotoGP racing calipers, giving high rigidity and minimising the risk of pressure loss or leaks. Dust boots on the pistons make daily maintenance easy. The kit uses a 260mm rotor, 30mm larger than standard, for stable performance over long runs and a consistent pedal feel.

Spoon lists this kit for the Honda N-ONE (JG3, JG4, JG5 e:) and N-BOX (JF3) codes shown above. The kit needs three more parts: the front brake rotor 45251-JW5-000 (two pieces), the front pad 45022-MJW-000 and the brake hose set 01460-JG3-000. The factory disc, pads and hoses cannot be used. Standard wheels are not compatible; Spoon recommends its SW388 15in 5.5J +38 4H100.
