Spoon Sports Complete Blueprinted Engine, K20C for Honda Civic Type R FK8

Spoon Sports builds this complete K20C engine by hand from new genuine Honda parts, refining the balance and clearances for a smooth, responsive engine.

Pistons, pins and connecting rods are balanced to within 0.02g per cylinder, and the engine is assembled in a temperature-controlled clean room for precise clearance management.

 

Key features

  • Deburred block and head: sharp edges and stray metal fragments removed.
  • Balanced moving parts: pistons, pins and connecting rods balanced to within 0.02g per cylinder. The moving parts weigh around 1,100g with 0.002% variation between cylinders, against 0.2% on a stock Type R.
  • Construction: cast-in iron cylinder sleeves in an aluminium block, aluminium pistons, iron crankshaft, camshafts and valves.
  • Clean room assembly: temperature-controlled for precise clearance management.

Easy and straightforward to fit along as you’ve got the original arch liner clips as it screws into them. If the liner clips it screws into have broken like mine was, you can get some square Toyota arch liner clips on eBay that fit.
