The size of the genuine brake disc of the FK7 HATCHBACK/FC1 SEDAN is Φ282 and 23 mm thick, but the temperature of the brake disc during sports driving exceeds 500°C, which is the same as in a race.
Therefore, SPOON has developed a new one for the FK7/FC1 based on the 6POT monocoque caliper that has been tested and developed in the Super Endurance Series since 2016.
The biggest feature of this "FULL monoblock caliper" is its capless design, and it was developed without any compromise in structure, performance, or durability. The capless full mono body is manufactured with an "angle head processing machine". By adopting this construction method, it is possible to reduce the number of rubber parts, reduce fluid loss, and design a caliper that is high rigidity and lightweight.
The ultra-thin pistons and large-diameter dust boots meet the required specifications for both street and circuit use.
The Φ36/Φ34/Φ27 6-piston design optimizes the pad surface pressure to suppress uneven wear.
In addition, the Φ312 25mm-thick reverse ventilated disc significantly suppresses brake temperature rise and heat collapse during sports driving. Judder resistance has also been significantly improved, allowing for a stable brake feel even during continuous laps.
