The Spoon Sports low temperature thermostat starts opening at 68C and is fully open at 81C, sooner than the genuine Honda part, which starts opening at 80C and is fully open at 90C.

Opening earlier and reaching full flow at a lower coolant temperature helps keep the L15C cooler under hard driving.
