The progressive springs already on the market lower the center of gravity of the vehicle, improving cornering performance and turning the N-ONE into a fun car. However, with standard dampers, the capacity is insufficient for high-grip tires, so the tire performance cannot be fully utilized. In addition, the damping at the beginning of the damper movement is weak, resulting in a fluffy feeling when driving at high speeds.
We aimed to build a suspension system that is sportier and more comfortable, and developed a damper that is optimal for progressive springs. Rather than blindly increasing the damping force in pursuit of cornering performance, we repeated various tests to achieve a satisfactory specification, such as setting up the valve in the very low speed range where the damper begins to work and the damping force value at high load, in order to suppress the unpleasant fluffy feeling when driving on the street.
The genuine shape ensures sufficient stroke, and the length of the rod and damper case has been optimized, and the damping force has been set to about 30% higher than the standard. It matches high-grip tires, and the sufficient stroke allows you to drive comfortably and safely on various road surfaces. We have completed a suspension that allows you to enjoy sporty and light handling with peace of mind.
