This Kit was designed for hardcore drag racers running high boost levels that need more clamping force and tensile strength than the typical 8740 chromoly studs on the market. If you are looking for the best option, you've found it as these are 25% stronger than any other available off the shelf Head Stud Kit for your Honda/Acura!

These studs are manufactured specifically for us by ARP and utilize an L19 material that is much stronger than the typical 8740 chromoly and yields a tensile strength of 260,000 psi. They are also provisioned with a hex broach on the top of the stud for ease of installation and enabling you to install them with the cylinder head on the car if necessary.

Product Features:

  • Superior L19 Alloy steel,much stronger than the typical 8740 chromoly.
  • Achieve higher clamp loads of 260,000 psi as opposed to the competitions 190,000-210,000 psi rating.
  • Hex broach on the top of the stud for ease of installation.
  • No Modification to your cylinder head or block is required as these are a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM head bolts.
  • Recommended for applications boosting higher than 30 PSI

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.

Spoon brake calipers for my EK9

Always wanted to do this modification and now I got the chance as I got some discount. Fitted the new spoon calipers with my friend. Not a direct fit as it says. You have to cut the back plate. Plus if you have standard brake lines. You have to bolt the caliper first then the brake line. If you have standard brake pads. The back one has to have the lugs shaved down. If you have the tools it's easy enough. Took around 3-4hours to fit and bleed. What a transformation though to the feel of the braking. I would recommend these to anyone thinking about it. But take note you will need something to cut and shave metal.
