As many FD owners discover, the standard Honda rear shocks are excessively firm which can make the ride unpleasant over the uneven roads we have in the UK. After a little experimentation, it's been found that these Koni shocks work perfectly in conjunction with the standard FD2 springs and really help improve the cars overall drive-ability. 

They're direct replacements, so are simple to install, offer adjustable damping, and can be also used in conjunction with aftermarket springs. These are one of the single best modification you can make to an FD2 to improve drive-ability out of the box.

The boss kit gets 5 stars purely for coming with a torx key and a little leverage bar for it, top tier thinking that. Boss was quite delayed however I was immediately informed of this and continuously updated until it was delivered so it was no issue for me.

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.
