This cam gear mounts at the end of the intake camshaft and enables variable timing control in I-VTEC engines. It allows the ECU to advance or retard cam timing for optimized performance across the rev range.
The 50-degree range represents the maximum mechanical movement available from a stock actuator. Accord CL9/CM2 owners benefit most from this upgrade, as factory units are limited to just 25 degrees of adjustment. It's also an ideal service replacement for K20A and K20Z Type-R engines showing worn gear teeth.
Genuine Honda engineering ensures perfect fit, durability, and consistent performance. A direct bolt-on solution for unlocking additional tuning potential on compatible K-series platforms, however ECU tuning is necessary to fully take advantage of the extra adjustment range.
