1971 (July) Nissan Skyline GT-R, aka Hakosuka (chassis KPGC10)

The origin of the species, we are very proud to offer this beautiful "Hakosuka" (pronounced hako-ska) GT-R.

Supplied by Torque GT for a collector back in 2015 @ 90,550km, the odometer now reads 91,423km, with only 900km covered since import.

This is a rare opportunity to secure one of the most iconic and desirable cars to ever come out of Japan.

Finding examples in this condition is exceptionally challenging with many lost over the years. This particular 1971 July registered example will be celebrating it's 50th Birthday later this year and will impress anyone that views.

Exact production numbers of the genuine KPGC10 are unclear but its without question very few remain today. This has only added further fuel to their worldwide appeal as a hugely sought after collectors car with examples such as this one selling for $242,000 at Sotheby’s back in 2014.

Its important to note however that the KPGC10 is no ornament and backs up its exclusivity with a driving style that is both incapsulating and well ahead of its time with racing credentials to back it up.

As the well known automotive journalist Jethro Bovingdon explains in his Evo magazine feature... "This is not an old fashioned car that breaks away easily, floats beyond the limit and makes you feel like a hero at 40mph. It has grip and agility, is physical and uncompromising, and the control weights all have a surprising degree of heft – from the steering to the brakes and gearbox”…
