The Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R. The poster car of the Gran Turismo generation, with the Hollywood Fast & Furious film franchise helping secure its cult status in the world’s car scene.

Truth be told, this hugely iconic model has been a favourite amongst car fans long before any of this. A car built by Japan to worry the high-end marques of Europe.

It’s no secret that the Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R is one of the most sought-after cars to come out of Japan. A must-have for many enthusiasts and collectors… A true JDM hero!

The legendary RB26 first appeared in the ground-breaking R32 GT-R. Fast forward and Nissan came up with the R34. The core ingredients were the same... you still got the Attesa four-wheel drive system, the HICAS four-wheel steer and you still got the RB26.

Presented in QM1 White, this R34 GT-R V-Spec was imported in 2018 as a Grade 4 example with 60,660 miles. It now reads 62,660 miles, having covered only 2,000 miles in the UK, and has had just one UK owner since being imported.

Having completed pre-sale preparation, this is an example that offers great value for money as a completely usable, well set-up fast-road R34 GT-R. It benefits from chassis and cavity underseal, carried out by Torque GT.

With a host of well-chosen modifications, it has been mapped to 470bhp, a sweet spot for these R34s. Its modifications include:

Being a V-Spec, in addition to the standard R34 GT-R you get a revised aero front bumper, wing, side skirts and diffuser. The ATTESA E-TS system was also upgraded to a Pro-spec and features an active rear limited slip differential.

The boss kit gets 5 stars purely for coming with a torx key and a little leverage bar for it, top tier thinking that. Boss was quite delayed however I was immediately informed of this and continuously updated until it was delivered so it was no issue for me.

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.
