As heat is such an issue over extended periods of heavy braking, finding effective ways of managing this heat is a particularly great way at prolonging brake life.
That's where these shims come in. Sitting between your pads and the calliper, they have been shown to reduce heat transmission by between 30-40%, prolonging the life of components like calliper seals that can be compromised through excessive heat.
Manufactured from carbon fibre and finished in a thermally resistant resin (rated to over 400°C / 752°F).
