The Subaru Impreza Spec C is one of the most exciting JDM offerings on the market today, providing an all-round package that blends performance with practicality. If you’re looking for a way into JDM ownership where value for money is a priority, it’s hard to find anything that delivers more bang for your buck than this!

The Spec C benefits from a new rear mechanical LSD replacing the Torsen item on the regular STI, bespoke springs and dampers, a thicker rear anti-roll bar and 18-inch alloys. The result is a car that puts its power down more effectively than any STI before it, with sharper turn-in, reduced understeer and steering that communicates far more of what the chassis is doing.

Combined with Brembo four-piston brakes that show almost no fade, the Spec C delivers a balance of grip, control and feedback that makes it both safer and more rewarding to push hard, while still offering a more comfortable ride than earlier versions.

This fresh import sits on a set of Advan Racing RSII's, and benefits from a recent service through our workshop which includes the following:

Unlike the raw two-door rally reps of old, the hatchback Spec C provides usable space, Isofix rear seats and a decent-sized boot, making it a rare machine that can thrill on the weekend while remaining a genuinely viable daily driver.

Once overlooked in favour of the classic saloons, the hatchback has rapidly gained recognition, and examples like this prove exactly why. The Hybrid Racing Formula induction kit is of a very high quality, everything that you need is in the box, and my first impressions after fitting and driving my car for a short distance is that it has improved the sound immensely and given the car more power. Awesome upgrade over the standard bushes. This together with a Hybrid Racing V2 short shifter completely transformed the shifter in the EP3. The bushes are quick and easy to fit as well. Defo recommended.
