Launched in 2011, the special edition CR-Z 'Alpha Black Label' came with a revised interior which includes black seats, door cards, dash and carpets... a vast aesthetic improvement over the light grey version previously sported by both the Alpha and Beta variants.

Honda created a new niche with the CR-Z, producing a model unlike anything else available. A 1.5ltr 16v SOHC petrol engine mated to Honda’s forward-thinking IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) electric motor setup, giving a combined 122bhp and 174Nm. With a kerb weight of 1,130kg and in the case of this example, a gorgeous 6-speed manual gearbox, this combines to make the CR-Z a brilliantly engaging little car to drive.

In typical Honda fashion, from the driver's seat everything is perfectly positioned and weighted. The steering wheel not only looks great, it's the perfect size. Gears are selected in such a pleasing manner and then there’s the dash layout... a 3D 'TRON-esque' nod to I’m not sure what, but it’s totally fantastic!

Imported by us in August 2022 as a Grade 4 example, this 2011 CR-Z 'Alpha Black Label' is finished in the stunning Helios Yellow Pearl. It’s enhanced with a Mugen body kit and Mugen spoiler, giving this super-clean special edition a real edge. Inside, you’ll find Mugen floor mats and a Hybrid Racing shift knob complementing an otherwise original interior in excellent condition.

Fitted on a NC3 MX5, not as heavy as metal but hefty enough and solid. It also amplify the aliveness(vibration) from mx5 gearbox due to increased length, which I like.

Gorgeous set of wheels, definitely lighter than

Gorgeous set of wheels, definitely lighter than the stock sti wheels. Only thing I regret is not checking the concave properly. I thought the concave would be proportional to the offset however there are set concaves 1 to 5 , ones I’ve found of this wheel spec can be up to a C-3. Non the less this wheel as C-2 still looks awesome.

Really brings the vtec crossover to the music party really sounds nice just perfect for myself, never took a photo of it fitting so gutted but an easy fit and you get the oem Honda gaskets ect with the product.
