We’re huge fans of the superb FD2 Civic Type R. As the true successor to the DC5 Integra Type R, its chassis is beyond impressive, and when paired with a limited-slip differential, it delivers handling that can only be described as awe-inspiring.

The FD2 Type R features Honda’s legendary K20A engine, producing 222 hp with a redline of approximately 9,000 rpm.

The Honda Civic Type R FD2 is a true driver’s car. This December 2007 pre-facelift example is finished in iconic Championship White with matching wheels, creating an aggressive and purposeful stance that suits its character perfectly.

Originally imported by us in 2017 as a Grade 4 example, this FD2 has clearly been cherished during its time in the UK. It now shows 81,400 miles and remains in excellent condition throughout. The car features a few tasteful, high quality upgrades from respected Japanese performance brands while staying mostly OEM.

Modifications include:

Mugen exhaust
Mugen suspension
Exedy Sports Stage 1 organic clutch with lightweight flywheel

This example also benefits from a fresh set of headlights that were replaced in 2021 along with a double din stereo unit. Upon sale it will also come with freshly refurbed alloys.

Inside, Honda’s signature sports seats, red stitching, and perfectly placed rev counter remind you exactly what this car was built for. The FD2 set the benchmark for front wheel drive performance. HKS make it easier than stock

With a HKS racing suction kit, you definitely want to keep on those service intervals as the filter is so large, take one screw to take it off and check the inside, which makes it easier than a stock filter. Great that Torque GT stock them as they aren't too common but certainly available. Competitive pricing did it for me

I am going after a full Mugen build on Honda Civic FK7, with front and rear spoiler, steering wheel, scuff plates and whole lot more of the extras. with the Mugen Hexagon Oil Filler Cap in Black, it just add those high quality details that make the difference. The stock one does the job but this on another level.
