Features include: (1) Improved fade performance by using a material that suppresses the generation of resin gas; (2) Sufficient effectiveness and feel at low temperatures; (3) Abrasion resistance equivalent to normal tires; and (4) Less aggressiveness to the rotor. These features, which were realized by combining various factors including not only the pad material but also the back metal, not only provide stopping power, but also utilize the negative inertia G generated during braking for cornering power. It also provides excellent controllability. The best negative G (average coefficient of friction 0.32 to 0.38) can be obtained at an appropriate rotor temperature of 0 to 400 degrees Celsius, and a direct yet highly controllable brake feel that gives everyone confidence on the street.

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.

Spoon brake calipers for my EK9

Always wanted to do this modification and now I got the chance as I got some discount. Fitted the new spoon calipers with my friend. Not a direct fit as it says. You have to cut the back plate. Plus if you have standard brake lines. You have to bolt the caliper first then the brake line. If you have standard brake pads. The back one has to have the lugs shaved down. If you have the tools it's easy enough. Took around 3-4hours to fit and bleed. What a transformation though to the feel of the braking. I would recommend these to anyone thinking about it. But take note you will need something to cut and shave metal.
