Spoon Sports Steering Wheel Boss, for Honda Civic FL1 (6MT) and Civic Type R FL5

The Spoon Sports steering wheel boss is an aluminium hub for fitting an aftermarket steering wheel to the Honda Civic FL1 (manual) or Civic Type R FL5, with an airbag canceller and horn harness included.

Part number 78512-FL1-000 is for manual-gearbox cars only. The airbag canceller stops the SRS warning light and the horn harness keeps the horn working, so the kit is complete for the swap. Please read the steering-switch note in the FAQ before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Will my steering-wheel switches still work?

Spoon states that the switches other than the horn cannot be used with the boss fitted, so you will need to relocate them separately.

Does it fit automatic cars?

No. This kit is for manual-gearbox cars only.

Easy and straightforward to fit along as you’ve got the original arch liner clips as it screws into them. If the liner clips it screws into have broken like mine was, you can get some square Toyota arch liner clips on eBay that fit.
