When it comes to automotive applications, gaskets are an essential component for creating a tight seal between two flanges. One significant example of this is the turbo-to-manifold connection, where the proper functioning of the vehicle depends on a reliable seal. Unfortunately, worn or damaged gaskets can lead to exhaust gas leaks and a loss of power. That's why ensuring your gaskets are in good condition and functioning correctly is crucial.
If you need to replace worn or blown gaskets, we strongly recommend our graphite-coated aluminium core gaskets. These gaskets are made to OEM specifications and boast a high temp/pressure carbon layer sandwiched between two perforated metal sheets. This construction ensures a solid and reliable seal that will withstand the rigours of automotive use.
It's also important to note that more than simply replacing the gaskets is needed. In many cases, the flanges may be damaged or distorted, compromising the seal even with a new gasket in place. We recommend resurfacing the flanges when replacing blown or distorted gaskets. By doing so, you can ensure that the new gasket can form a proper seal and provide optimal results.
