Stock plastic or rubber intercooler pipes can expand or crack under high boost levels. In addition to this, stock pipes have many bends which in some places are very tight radius which causes much resistance and pressure drop. HKS Piping kits are made of aluminum for increased durability and safety. The pipes have been redesigned to decrease the number of bends and to increase bend radius to minimize pressure loss and flow resistance.

Product features:

  • Replacing the rubber inlet & outlet hoses with aluminum hoses restrains its expansion to improve the throttle response and smoothly increase the boost pressure. Also,aluminum hoses can be securely connected even under a high pressure.
  • Factory rubber hoses are replaced with aluminum pipes and silicone joint hoses,and they are secured with reinforced hose bands.
  • HKS original casting inlet pipe allows smooth layout.

The boss kit gets 5 stars purely for coming with a torx key and a little leverage bar for it, top tier thinking that. Boss was quite delayed however I was immediately informed of this and continuously updated until it was delivered so it was no issue for me.

Package arrived promptly and the new B pipe was well protected in bubble wrap inside the factory spoon packaging. The first thing i noticed was the quality of the welds, then the serialised Spoon plaque, and the genuine honda gasket and spring bolt kit which is included. Fitment was straight forward with the right tools, and the spoon piece aligned perfectly with the standard cat and Spoon N1 backbox. The noise i would describe as OEM++. No drone at motorway speeds but in the vtec band it has that raspy race note. Perfect for around town but still fun in the higher rev range when you want to hear your Honda scream.

I rate it 5/5 and would recommend as a replacement for those sadly corroding factory B pipes.
