Overheating your brakes is a very real possibility when pushing the limits on track. In doing so, you risk potentially damaging your brake components and reducing their life. As such, monitoring the temperature of your brakes can be invaluable.
How to use
By simply fixing one of these decals to each caliper, it's possible to gauge the temperature of your brakes and avoid overheating.
On a single piston sliding caliper, position centrally over the piston
On a larger 4 or 6-piston caliper, take note of the rotation of the brake disc and position over the piston on the trailing side of the caliper.
Each decal uses a irreversible colour change, meaning you can measure the maximum temperature reached.
