The Spoon Sports Motion Control Beam controls the rigidity at the front and rear ends of the body, where the chassis twists most as you drive. It improves ride quality and cornering turn-in through a special friction-type damper.

The S660 midship layout leaves no end panels to either side of the rear body. Spoon Sports found that raising torsional rigidity at the rear end improves cornering, but a plain reinforcing brace adds micro-vibration, and the friction damper absorbs that vibration for a settled ride.

With these being very expensive and zero english reviews/info on exactly what they do/achieve I took the plunge and got them. Very easy to install and wow the front end is noticeably more pointy but the biggest change is the 3 cylinder wobble/shake has been vastly reduced and high speed vibrations are all but removed giving the s660 a big car feel at high speed 60+mph. Much more refined feel. They look good too behind exposed bumpers. Mugen/spoon dampers are identical in but finish and made by Yamaha.

Easy and straightforward to fit along as you’ve got the original arch liner clips as it screws into them. If the liner clips it screws into have broken like mine was, you can get some square Toyota arch liner clips on eBay that fit.
