The Eventuri Carbon Intake system for the BMW G29 Z4 2.0 B48 engine is an engineering solution developed to optimize airflow and maintain low inlet temperatures for the turbocharged platform. Recognizing that heat and volume are critical factors for turbocharged engine performance, this intake delivers a less restrictive flow path to the turbocharger, enabling maximum power output.
The system features a completely revised air path utilizing high-quality carbon fiber components. Key elements include a sealed carbon fiber airbox with dual air feeds, a bespoke high-flow dry cone filter, and a carbon fiber inlet tube with an increased opening ID of 111mm, significantly larger than the stock 90mm plastic intake tube. Furthermore, the design incorporates a heat shield with gold reflective backing to minimize heat soak from the exhaust manifold, ensuring the air entering the engine remains consistently cool and dense. The system also includes a secondary air feed located in the wheel arch to draw in additional cool air, maximizing the efficiency of the intake system.
