Dan's 2026 Season So Far

Two rounds in and Dan's 2026 Time Attack campaign has already given us plenty to talk about. Here's where things stand.

Cadwell Park: Round 1

Cadwell Park Round 1

The car arrived at Cadwell in the best shape it's ever been, now that Dan has moved up a class. 480 bhp, new aero, full cage and strip, MHI hybrid turbo and genuine pace to match. Dan was two seconds up on last year's times in Attack 1 on older rubber with a low 1:35 looking very much on the cards. Then came the crest at Mountain, a brief moment of all four wheels leaving the planet and a torque spike on landing that took out third gear on the spot. Sensible call to retire, gearbox saved from further damage and lessons noted.

Donington Park: Round 2

Donington Park Round 2

Back on a stock gearbox and straight into 33 degree heat with track temps cracking 60 degrees. Not ideal. The heat meant one push lap followed by two cool-down laps just to keep temperatures in check which makes chasing times tricky. Despite all of that the car ran faultlessly all day which after Cadwell was exactly what was needed. Dan broke into the 1:16s, over a second quicker than his previous PB set in perfect conditions. The 1:15s are clearly there with more seat time. There was also a close moment through Craner Curves that cost a carbon canard, a splitter end plate and left a sizeable dent in the wing.

Round 3: Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch is up next. Cooling upgrades are going on, the gearbox rebuild is in progress and the bigger fuel system is waiting. Let's see if Dan can contest for a podium. More to come.
