Back in 2005, Suzuki dropped the first Swift Sport (ZC31S) in Japan! This wasn't a Civic Type R rival, but a junior hot hatch that achieved high praise.
Suzuki nailed the classic hot hatch vibe: lightweight, high-lift camshafts, and all about the handling. The naturally aspirated 1.6L (M16A) engine packed 123 bhp and 109 ft-lb of pure fun. Paired with a slick 5-speed manual and short gearing, this little terror is made for twisty roads.
Here we have a freshly imported JDM ZC31S… Unlike the UK models, the Japanese market offered a 5 door version. Other differences included 16 inch wheels rather than 17 inch and an attractive set of beefier Recaro bucket seats as an option from the factory.
It feels like a go-kart with a brilliant chassis that will keep its new owner Kyle grinning from ear to ear.
