If you follow Time Attack, you may recognise Dan's uniquely liveried FK8 as the 2024 Clubman class winner! An amazing achievement in what was his debut season, he showcased some incredible skill and determination.
For 2025, he will again be piloting the same Honda Civic Type R FK8 and we're excited to be backing his braking performance with the excellent Dixcel RE Brake Pads!
We recently caught up with Dan to give you the run-down on the cars complete spec;
"It's mapped for up to 400bhp and 400ft-lbs, but usually when competing I’m running the Time Attack map, which is 380bhp and 380ft-lbs – this just helps manage temperatures, especially on a hot summer’s day!"
But it isn’t just about raw power; it’s about precision and reliability. Here are some of the key upgrades that make his car a true track weapon:
- Brakes: AP Racing Pro 5000R Calipers, Dixcel RE Brake Pads, HEL Braided Brake Lines, Motul 700 Brake Fluid
- Cooling: HKS Intercooler Kit, , Spoon Low Temp Thermostat, Koyorad Aluminium Radiator
- Engine: Eventuri Intake and Air Filter, Mishimoto Coolant Expansion Tank, Hasport Engine Mounts, Forge Silicone Hoses

- Drivetrain: OS Giken Super Lock LSD, Exedy Stage 2 Clutch, Acuity Shifter Upgrades

So with the season fast approaching and several rounds of pre-season tests under his belt, how is Dan feeling about the car and it's upgrades?
"The switch to a well-balanced brake pad like the Dixcel RE has proven in testing to have a noticeable improvement… especially in the rear...
Installing the HKS intercooler kit, Eventuri intake, alongside the Spoon thermostat and Koyo radiator has improved cooling dramatically!"
And he was impressed by the Spoon rigid collars, an often overlooked handling mod:
"I was surprised at how much they centralised the front and rear subframes, making the car feel more balanced."
So what are Dan’s ambitions for the 2025 season?
"I’m hoping… to go faster than I was last year, which included setting two new class lap records."
