Mugen Group B parts for the FL5 Civic Type R were developed under the "Extreme R" concept, with the goal of improving performance on the track. Through thorough design analysis, meticulous material selection, and uncompromising quality evaluation and improvement, the entire group of parts has achieved a weight reduction of approximately 38 kg and an increase in downforce approximately three times greater than the standard vehicle. Completed development parts will be released sequentially.
A new high-performance brake system is available for use on international circuits. Developed through repeated testing on circuits where brake rotor temperatures reach nearly 900 degrees Celsius, this system delivers improved brake touch and rigidity, along with superior braking power.
