The Haltech Nexus R3 + Universal Wire-In Harness Kit (HT-193200) pairs the Nexus R3 Vehicle Control Unit with a 2.5m universal wire-in harness for dedicated race cars, engine swaps and custom wiring jobs.

The R3 VCU combines the functionality of a power distribution module, a data logger, a wideband controller and a state-of-the-art engine management system. It provides 4 x 25A continuous push-pull PWM capable (5 kHz) outputs for injectors, coils, transbrake, thermofan or fuel pump, 8 x peak/hold injector drivers usable as low side drive outputs, 8 x low current ignition outputs usable as low side drive outputs, 6 x low side drive outputs (PWM capable DPOs), and 6 x push-pull/h-bridge outputs (8A, PWM capable) for electronic throttle. It carries 11 x 0-5V analog inputs with redundancy and switchable 5V pullup, trigger and home inputs with differential inputs, adjustable thresholds and glitch filters, and 6 x synchronous pulsed inputs for cam sensors, frequency inputs or 0-5V analog inputs. It includes 1 onboard wideband controller supporting NTK and LSU 4.9, 1 onboard 4 bar MAP sensor, 2 CAN ports with switchable termination, and onboard data logging of up to 300 channels at sample rates up to 1ms (1kHz) with 128MB of internal memory. The Universal Wire-in Harness has a set of VCU connectors at one end and unterminated wires at the other, with all wires at the unterminated end colour coded and clearly labelled to match a detailed wiring diagram. That wiring diagram comes with the full VCU manual and software on the USB key provided with the VCU, or downloadable from the Haltech website. You connect your Haltech VCU to the terminated end, follow the wiring diagram for the engine connections, then load your base map.
