The Eventuri Carbon Intake System for the BMW G01 X3 M40i and G02 X4 M40i (equipped with the B58D engine version) is an expertly engineered performance upgrade designed to maximize the efficiency of the forced induction system. This system is developed to provide the turbocharger with a significantly less restrictive flow path while aggressively combating the inherent challenge of high engine bay temperatures caused by the intake system's proximity to the exhaust manifold.
The system utilizes a high-quality, prepreg carbon fiber construction, ensuring both strength and thermal isolation. A core feature is the large, carbon fiber airbox, which integrates a bespoke high-flow dry cone filter, providing a much larger surface area than the stock panel filter. Air is drawn through a carbon fiber inlet tube, which boasts an internal diameter of 109mm (4.3”), representing a substantial 82% increase in cross-sectional area over the original equipment. This tube smoothly tapers down to the turbo inlet, promoting laminar airflow. To mitigate heat soak, the system includes a heat shield with a gold reflective backing on the exhaust manifold side, effectively minimizing radiant heat transfer to maintain low inlet temperatures.
Each Eventuri intake system is a complete solution, including precision-machined components such as the CNC machined temperature sensor mount, breather adapter, and the necessary CNC machined turbo flange (including both Pre-LCI and LCI versions) for direct fitment.
