This Build: Forest Green JDM Jimny with DAMD 'The Roots' Conversion
This forest green Jimny Sierra came to us as a JDM personal import from Japan. It arrived already sitting on a set of off-road tyres and aftermarket alloys with a Bilstein and H&R Jimny Style lift kit already fitted. The platform was solid. It just needed the looks to go with it.
What is the DAMD 'The Roots' Conversion?
The DAMD 'The Roots' kit is a full front-end conversion for the JB74 Jimny. The design takes its cues from 1980s off-road trucks, with new front and rear bumpers that give the Jimny a more hardcore, purposeful look.
The colour-matched grille ties the whole front end together and makes a significant difference to the overall appearance of the car.
Paintwork and Installation
The bumpers and grille were painted in-house at Torque GT to match the forest green bodywork before fitting, with the lower half of the front bumper finished in a contrasting black.
Everything was installed by us, keeping the finish consistent throughout.
