The year is 1997 and Subaru were already well revered within World Rally. It was also the exact year the WRX Type R STi Version 4 was born. Equipped in much the same way as the 4-door model the biggest exterior change was the silhouette... The Type-R was the first 2-door Impreza which later served as the shape for the 22B and the P1 and became the basis for the WRC rally car, so all in all a significant shape!
